College Resources

The Emerging Professional and College Outreach Committee is forming a closer relationship between Central Iowa SHRM and local colleges by facilitating contact between professors and Central Iowa SHRM members to attend and lecture to classes of students interested in the HR profession.

Local college professors and Central Iowa SHRM members will be invited in to share their expertise as a practicing HR professional, which gives students a chance to hear from them, ask probing questions and make connections.

College students will be able to develop contacts with local college faculty, as well as other peers from different colleges with the same interests. Using these connections, students may be able to find an internship and even maybe a career path down the road.
